Welcome to Windsor Bergen Academy

WINDSOR BERGEN ACADEMY (Grades Pre-K through 8) is a state-approved, nonprofit, private school located in Ridgewood NJ, for classified students who exhibit learning, behavioral and attention disorders. In addition, many of our students are diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Windsor Bergen Academy provides a therapeutic environment to address students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs.

All related service providers work together to tailor multi-sensory programs aimed at improving student academic and social success. Each therapy program is personalized to meet the individual needs of each student. Therapists also consult with classroom staff to facilitate carryover of therapeutic strategies into the classroom.

R.I.S.E. is an early childhood education program for children ages 3 to 5 years old who are experiencing emotional, behavioral and/or developmental struggles that impact overall school success. In a structured and nurturing environment, our multidisciplinary staff provides rich learning experiences and therapeutic interventions that help students RISE to the next level of school readiness.

Hear from our Parents

The moment you enter WBA, it’s clear that the entire team is invested in nurturing an environment of acceptance and individualized support. They see the potential in our daughter and she has been thriving. She can’t wait to go to school everyday and we are impressed with the progress.

WBA is the perfect place for our son. He started second grade at WBA with low self esteem, no friends and an extreme negative outlook on school. He was lost, sad and angry. He never smiled. Within a few weeks we noticed he was becoming a happy and confident young man in addition to learning and growing each day. Now a brilliant, happy third grader, he wakes up with a big smile excited to see his teachers and friends each day. The administration, teachers and staff are top notch skilled professionals. The support that they provide enables each child to reach their own personal best. It is evident that the staff love their jobs and respect and understand their students. WBA is a family that our family is blessed to be a part of.
